Eric Loftin has been teaching fine art at Regis High School since 2006. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, with a minor in art history from Western Oregon University, where he graduated magna cum laude. In 2018, Eric earned his Masters Degree of Education from Marylhurst University. His studio work includes drawing, painting, mixed media, and ceramics. Eric's work has been featured in several exhibitions around Oregon, including Salem, Portland, Monmouth, Independence, Lake Oswego, and Mill City, as well as Denver, Colorado and Saitama, Japan. Eric was named a featured artist of United Kingdom boutique art supply company, Culture Hustle, for his work using Black 2.0, the darkest black currently available on the market. Eric's work is currently held in private collections in Alaska, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon.
Eric believes in balancing hard work and the freedom to explore and discover in the studio, through which students will be able to find their voice. Since 2011, graduates from the Regis Fine Art Program have earned college scholarship offers totaling more than $600,000. Regis Fine Art graduates have pursued careers in such diverse fields as education, culinary, curation, studio art, visual communication and design, illustration, graphic design, fashion, and many more.
